What you need to create a profile for an NPO

What is an NPO?

Nonprofit organisations (NPOs) are aimed at endorsing a social cause or supporting a particular outlook. An example of an NPO would be a hospital, a church, or a sports club.

You need to have these documents before you start creating the NPO’s profile. These documents will also need to be emailed to iKhokha once the profile has been created.

The details on all of the following documents need to match so all need to contain the name, surname and ID details of an authorised member of the NPO.

What documents you will need to create the profile

  • ID of the applicant. The person who provides this ID needs to be a formal member of the NPO, with signatory rights.
  • Bank statement of the NPO
  • Proof of address (a DSTV account, a municipal account, a mortgage account statement).
  • Selfie of the applicant
  • Constitution of founding document
  • NPO Certificate (this document proves that the NPO has been registered by the Register of Nonprofit Organisations and needs to contain the NPO number).
  • Trading name (name of the NPO) and nature of the business (describe what they do)
