Product knowledge is critical, but it does not matter what you know, if you can’t convince a customer to listen to you. So how can you connect with a potential customer?
We’ve developed an example of a sales pitch you can modify when you’re approaching a potential customer:
Salesperson: Mr Sibisi/Peter It’s a pleasure to meet you. I am from one of the fastest growing fintech companies called Ikhokha. Do you know about Ikhokha?
If they say YES – respond by asking how they know about Ikhokha.
If they say NO – take this opportunity to tell them about iKhokha (You have just learnt this in the training session)
Salesperson: Mr Sibisi – are you the owner of this business?
If they say NO – ask if owner is available in the store? / Request for owner’s details / leave pamphlet with name and request for owner to call you back.
If they say YES – continue
Salesperson: As mentioned, I am a (specially selected) agent for Ikhokha. We thrive on empowering entrepreneurs by providing card machines to businesses to reduce the risk of cash and increase their turnover by offering customers different payment options.
Here you can choose from a range of benefits and services you can share with the outlet owner:
I would like to introduce you to our range of devices and ensure that we can offer you a solution which meets your business needs. Our approach is simple and aimed at delivering savings/best value to the business.
Would you offer me the opportunity to do a business questionnaire to gain a better understanding? This will be at no obligation.
if YES:
I am available on Thurs morning from 9-12pm and Friday after 1pm (which time would best suit you to allow us to conduct this audit)? It will not take longer than 30min.
Tip: request availability within the next 48hrs/2 days.
NB: Confirm name, number and appointment.
